A white paradise, Shirakawago
純白の美、真冬の白川郷、

In 130km north from Toyota, we visited

Shirakawago. Covered by deep snow, it is

like a beautiful dream.

There are 115 old houses with traditional 

“Gasshozukuri style”.  This area was appointed as

the “world heritage” in 1995. In most of homes,

a big family with 3 generations lived, raising silk worms.

Here is a deep mountain area. Quiet, but peaceful.

豊田市から１３０ｋｍ北西、「白川郷」に行ってきました。

深い雪の世界、夢の様に美しくて静かです。雪に強い急勾配の

藁葺き屋根、合掌造りの家は冬でも快適です。

大勢の家族で、皆で蚕を育てて … 　　

奥深い山の暮らし、静かな幸せを感じますよね。
