神の宿る山、猿投山登山
Climb onto the holy mountain Sanage

Mt.Sanage is a holy mountain, deified for Osunomikoto . The mountain shapes a beautiful
triangle, suitable as a residence of the god. It is 629m in height, so it’s not a tough work
to climbed up,but we feel serene,surrounding a lot of straight trees. There is a holy rock
with impressive shape as well as the shrine where the god descend from the heaven.
They say that the holy snake lives in the mountain shrine . But,I didn’t meet it. Huh…

猿投山は大碓命を祀った神聖な山です。山容は、神様がいかにも住んでいそうな、美しい
三角形です。高さは６２９ｍ、楽々登れますが、多くの直立した樹木に囲まれ、何か
神聖な気持ちになれる山です。山頂近くに東宮という神社があり、神の降臨される
巨石があります。蔡神として、大蛇がいると聞いていましたが、会えませんでした。
